BICC Talent Scholarships 2021

Birmingham International Collegiate of Canada (BICC) is one of the most recognized private high schools in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. BICC provides well-rounded education and nurtures young talents in various fields.

In recent years, many high-achieving students have received Academic Scholarships for their outstanding achievements. BICC further recognizes that students excel in other fields that extend outside traditional academic subjects. BICC continues to promote opportunities for students who demonstrate special and unique abilities in different fields such as the arts, music, sports, community service, and leadership achievements. BICC’s Talent Scholarship Program offers scholarships from 10% to 20% of the student’s tuition fee for the first academic year, which may open the doors for students to step into the global environment and further develop their talents. 

 

Here are the 2021 Talent Scholarships offered by BICC:

1. Athletic Scholarship

Recipient:

Students who demonstrate high-level skills in their sport of choice (i.e. soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, gymnastics, track and field, etc.) and have achieved awards in sports competitions at different levels such as school, district, city, or national.

2. Creative Arts Scholarship

Recipient:

Students who demonstrate an artistic passion and a high level of ability in different fields of arts including painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, music (instrumental and vocal) and dance, and have achieved awards in competitions or recognition at different levels such as school, district, city, or national.

3.  Leadership Scholarship

Recipient:

Students who demonstrate leadership ability within any organization, club, or social activities. The student must have received recognition from two teachers who have witnessed outstanding leadership qualities from the student.

4. Community Service Scholarship

Recipient:

Students who have actively taken part in community service activities and have made a great contribution to their communities so far. The student must have received recognition from one teacher and one member of society who can attest to the student’s community outreach.

 

To apply, please submit the following as part of your application package:

  • BICC Application Form
  • Copies of the two (2) most recent transcripts

+ Copies of awards, certificates, medals, honours achieved for athletic scholarship applicants. 

+ Portfolio of 10 pieces of artwork or video recordings of performances such as singing, dancing, or playing music for creative art scholarship applicants.

+ two letters of recommendation (student must submit an endorsement letter by two teachers who provide an anecdotal description of the student’s contributions to student leadership in their school and/or community) AND a personal profile (student must complete a profile that consists of a personal statement, and a list of all relevant leadership activities that they have been a part of) for leadership scholarship applicants. 

+ Certificate(s) of completion of community service AND two letters of recommendation (student must submit an endorsement letter by one teacher and one member of society who can provide an anecdotal description of the student’s contributions to student’s community service and volunteerism) for community service scholarship applicants.
