KPU's various Career Development Services

KPU offers a virtual drop-in session to cater to students’ needs in consulting career prospects and personal development. Students can log in at any time during the live session and virtually meet with the career coach to ask their questions regarding resumes, interviews, and any other questions related to job search or career exploration. For students who would like to explore more about career development, KPU also offers some online sources to help students choose a career and seek employment.

A choice of employment opportunities

KPU offers a Career Day to help students and alumni connect with employers and non-profit organizations and find a dream job. By attending Career day, students and alumni will have the chance to talk to employers directly and explore the possibilities to work and collaborate. In addition to Career day, KPU also offers various career activities, for example, Branching Out Horticulture Career Expo and Trades & Technology Career Fair, to help students develop networks and get exposed to different employers.

For students who would like to have a part-time job, joining the Work-Study program or Student Assistant program offered by KPU is a good opportunity to gain work experience at university.

Optional Co-operative education

KPU Co-operative Education programs have received accreditation from Co-operative Education and Work Integrated Learning (CEWIL). Students who enroll in Co-op programs will not only earn a competitive wage and gain industrial experience but also explore further possibilities and develop networks in the chosen industry. The Co-op education options are currently available in 13 different programs—from Marketing Management and Human Resources Management to Community Criminal Justice and Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Diploma.
