Apprentice Training

An apprenticeship is a two-way agreement between students and their employers/sponsors to provide students with appropriate opportunities to become fully competent in the trade of their choice.

As an apprentice, students will spend about 80% of their time on the job, earning while learning. In addition to that practical experience, students also need to sign up for a few weeks of in-school technical training each year. Practical work hours and technical training are both required to achieve the full trade qualification.

If students are currently employed as an apprentice, they can get your required technical training at Camosun. Depending on which trade students chose, they will be in school for five to 10 weeks in each year of the apprenticeship.
