Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is a public community college and technical college located in the Truckee Meadows of Reno, Nevada. The college is primarily a commuter campus [2] with five locations. TMCC offers students both certificate and associate degrees. In 2015, TMCC was approved to offer two Bachelor of Applied Science degrees: one in Logistics Operations Management and the other in Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

TMCC provides students choices: Over 50 programs of study that lead to more than 160 degree, certificate and other completion options, university transfer, convenience, flexible schedules, and affordability. TMCC also offers classes or workshops for career development or personal enrichment in different fields of study including Business, Computer Technologies, Early Childhood Education, Engineering, Foreign Languages, and more.

International Students’ Admission

Truckee Meadows Community College has an International Student Services team of faculty and staff that studied and lived in other countries that can help students as they face challenges while adjusting to life in a new country. International students seeking admission to TMCC as an F-1 international student. Before completing the international application for admission, applicants must review the steps on how to enroll. They must ensure the following documents are secured:

• Passport
• Proof of English Proficiency test result
• Transcripts from high school 
• Transcripts from college, if applicable
• Financial documentation 
• Passport information for dependent spouse or child(ren), if applicable

Financial Aid

Please note that TMCC does not have financial aid for international students. 

International Transfer Agreements

Truckee Meadows Community College has partnered with several universities, giving international students who transfer from TMCC guaranteed admission once they earn their associate degree and/or meet specific admission criteria. Partner universities include California State University, Sacramento, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Portland State University.

International students must provide proof of financial support and English proficiency.

International Student Workshops

TMCC's International Student Services has partnered with other college units to offer a workshop series designed just for international students. International students are required to attend, but continuing international students are also encouraged to participate.
