TAIE International Institute is an international boarding high school, founded in 1998. The main building in Downtown Toronto is situated on Church Street, adjacent to the Eaton Centre, Dundas Square, and Yonge Street. Several distinguished schools are also located near the area, including the University of Toronto, the Ontario College of Art and Design University, and Ryerson University. Because of its' unique, transit-friendly locale and comfortable setting, the school is a haven of peace and quiet amidst the bustle of a world-class city. Programs Offered

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

TAIE offers Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) which is designed for students who intend to earn a Canadian high school diploma. Here are the requirements to achieve this:

1. Complete 30 credit requirements composed of 18 mandatory and 12 optional courses.

2. Pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test or OLC40.

3. Finish 40 hours of community service.

UPC Elite

The institute also offers an elite program called UPC Elite designed for exceptional students who aim to enter Canada’s top six universities. This has one intake per year and has additional requirements from its students.

IELTS Preparation

Students who are planning on taking the IELTS exam can take the preparation program to help them achieve the required language proficiency score for the universities they are applying for. The program lasts for one semester and is not a required program.

English as Second Language (ESL)

The institute also provides language programs for students who would like to build their knowledge of the English language at academic and conversational levels. Students will be speaking English throughout the duration of their studies in TAIE.
