International Students

Royal Roads University in British Columbia helps the students to study, learn and achieve things. RRU aims to be instrumental in transforming the students and help them unlock their unrealized potential through their programs set up in small groups of students under the same learning path. Their educational approach integrates self awareness and knowledge of oneself with the understanding of the different subject matters.

International Admission

Steps to Apply:

  • Secure the English language requirement 
  • IELTS - Academic 6.0 overall, at least 5.5 in listening and reading and 6.0 in writing and speaking
  • TOEFL iBT - 79 overall, at least 18 in reading, 23 in writing, 19 in listening and speaking
  • PTE-A 55 overall, at least 55 in writing and speaking and 51 in listening and reading
  • DET - 105 overall, at least 95 in literacy, comprehension, conversation and production
  • Provide an international educational assessment by ICES, WES or RRU
  • Check the guidelines for specific countries and submit the requirements
  • Pay the application fee of $ 131.39 and wait for the acceptance letter

International Students' Fees and Awards

For international students, the tuition fee deposit is $5,000 and the tuition fee is at least $44,125 for a bachelor’s degree, $8,845 - $10,090 for a graduate certificate and a minimum of $17,334 for a graduate diploma. 

RRU is offering the following scholarship and awards to international students

  • Scholarship for outstanding children of international alumni of an RRU program delivered in Bangladesh, China, Hongkong, Indonesia, Malaysia or Taiwan amounting to $2,000.
  • Royal scholarship amounting to $3,000 is offered to outstanding international students from China and Taiwan. A one-page essay discussing plans on how to create global linkages between Canada and Asia is required when applying. 

Student Emergency Financial Assistance

RRU Student Association bursary amounting to $2,000 is available for students with reasonable but critical financial needs under environment and sustainability, tourism and hospitality management, humanitarian studies, communication and culture and business programs
