Academics
With more than 20 locations statewide, NAU has a total of 28,718 students enrolled in more than 180 undergraduate programs, over 100 online degree programs, and more than 90 undergraduate and graduate certificates. The university offers flexibility to its students through in-person and online modes of teaching.
International Admissions
NAU has a designated office to support its international students’ needs while studying through its Center for International Education. There are several programs and levels of education that students can choose from. The university offers different options for international students:

Application Requirements for Undergraduate Students
- Online application and a $50 application fee
- Copy of passport

- Proof of English language proficiency

Application Requirements for Graduate Students
- Graduate college requirements
- Degree availability for those who have an F-1 or J-1 visa
- Proof of English language proficiency
- Program in Intensive English
- Visa and immigration information

- Student health insurance
Program in Intensive English (PIE) Students
International Students are offered the option to learn English on a more advanced level to help them succeed in their academic journey at NAU.
Application Requirements:
- $50 application fee
- Copy of valid passport
- Copy of transcripts
- Copy of English test scores
- Proof of financial support
Tuition and Fees
For graduate students, the cost of tuition per year is as follows:
- $10,650 for Flagstaff campus
- $7,950 for statewide campuses
- $10,920 for online
- $7,950 for Yuma campus
International Student and Scholar Services
NAU has an International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), which offers specialized assistance to international students, scholars, employees, and dependents.
