North Island College (NIC) was established in 1975 as a primary distance-education institution. It now serves students at Campbell River, Comox Valley, Port Alberni, and Mixalakwila campuses; and through many in-community programs delivered in partnership with remote communities from Ucluelet on Vancouver Island’s west coast to Bella Coola on the central mainland.
