Founded by Baptists in 1833, Mercer University is an independent university located in Georgia, the United States. With over 9,000 students from 57 countries, Mercer University supports undergraduate, graduate, professional learning, and basic research.


Campuses

  • Macon

Located one mile away on Coleman Hill, the Macon campus is home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Engineering, School of Business, College of Education, School of Music, College of Professional Advancement, and the College of Health Professions.

  • Atlanta

The Atlanta Campus is home to the College of Pharmacy, College of Health Professions, School of Theology, College of Nursing, and the College of Professional Advancement, along with programs of the School of Business, College of Education, and the English Language Institute.

  • Savannah

The Savannah Campus is the home of Mercer’s four-year M.D. program in the School of Medicine.

  • Regional Academic Centers

Mercer offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs for adults at centers in Douglas County and Henry County.

  • Columbus

In 2012, the School of Medicine opened a clinical site in Columbus for third- and fourth-year students. In 2021, it will expand to a full four-year campus of the medical school.

As the oldest and largest of the University’s academic units, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is Mercer’s academic cornerstone.

  • School of Law

The Mercer University School of Law is one of the oldest law schools in the United States and the first in Georgia accredited by the American Bar Association.

  • School of Medicine

The School of Medicine was established in 1982 to educate physicians and health professionals to meet the primary care and health care needs of rural and medically underserved areas of Georgia.

  • College of Pharmacy

The College of Pharmacy offers various degree programs that provide students with the necessary education and skills for their careers in pharmacy.

Mercer’s nationally recognized Georgia Baptist College of Nursing is grounded in the heritage of educating students to provide superior nursing care.

Scholarships

Students enrolling at Mercer are eligible to receive primarily three types of aid: University-funded aid, federal aid, and state aid. In addition, Mercer Univerisity encourage students to apply for outside scholarships and aid. Over 90% of students receive scholarships and over $20 million in Mercer aid awarded to the incoming class.
