Admission Requirements

Confederation College uses academic information such as credentials, course completion, grades, and English proficiency to determine an applicant’s eligibility for admission.


General Requirements

  • GPA 60%
  • IELTS 6.0 (no band under 5.5) (Diploma)
  • IELTS 6.5 (no band under 6.0) (Graduate Certificate)

Age Requirement 

Applicants must be 18 years of age within their first semester of study to qualify for admission into Confederation College.

 

Scholarships, Bursaries, and Awards for International Students

Confederation College has scholarships, bursaries, and awards that are available to current students to assist with their education costs. Applications are considered based on financial need, academics, and/or community involvement.

In 2018-2019, Confederation College awarded a total of $275,360 in scholarships, awards, and bursaries to current students. The International Education Centre itself distributed $47,000 to 67 students.

The following is a list of scholarships, awards, and bursaries that are specific to international students. Please be aware that the number of awards and their value is subject to change. 

  • International Education Centre - International Student Excellence Award: Three awards at $2,500.00 each.
  • International Education Centre - Award of Merit: Eight awards at $1,000.00 each
  • International Education Centre - International Student Award: Sixty awards at $500.00 each 
  • Raag - Rung Music Circle Bursary - One award at $500.00
  • Student Union Award of Confederation College Inc - International Student Award - Two awards at $500.00 each
