Located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) has a rich history with roots in two founding institutions, Prince of Wales College (est. 1834) and St. Dunstan's University (est. 1855). UPEI honours this proud legacy through a growing reputation for research innovation and academic excellence.
The university offers a wide range of programs that caters to over 4,500 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. In 2019, international students from more than 90 countries comprised 28 percent of the University's total enrolment. As of 2020, UPEI’s global impact is greater than ever because of UPEI programming being delivered on four continents (North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa).
UPEI is consistently ranked within the top ten undergraduate universities in Canada and has developed a reputation for program innovation and global partnerships. - These values can be used to estimate your first-year cost at UPEI.Undergraduate Program Tuition in the Faculty of Arts, Business, Nursing, Science, and Sustainable Design Engineering = $13,860 per year (or $639 per 3-credit course) + $7,470 international student fee
- Post-Degree Program Tuition in the Faculty of Education = $23,910 for a one-year degree (or $639 per 3-credit course) + 11,130 international student fee
- Professional Program Tuition in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine = $67,830 per year
- Other program fees range from $1,300 to $2,100 per year depending on your program
- Residence fees range from $ 3,324 (semi-private) to $ 6,020 (single suite with 7-day meal plan) per semester.

Entrance and First-year Scholarships and Awards
Celebrating Student Achievement – guaranteed at least $500 for students with an academic average of 80% or higher. Those with a 95-100% average grade in high school will automatically get as much as $ 3,000.

Scholarship and Awards for All Years, All Programs
