Catering to various interests, Fanshawe is dedicated to providing international students with full services, from choosing programs to daily student life support.

• Career-choosing

Fanshawe College offers over 200 different career-focused programs, ranging from diploma to graduate programs, from Aviation Technology to Web Development and Internet Applications. With this wide variety of programs, you may ask how students find the one that truly sparks their interest and passion? Thanks to Fanshawe’s Pathfinder, by taking a 30 question assessment, students can discover a potential program pathway that matches their interests and strengths.

In addition to the Pathfinder, Fanshawe also offers an online Career Coach for students to explore the career prospect and job market trends of the program they chose. Of course, students are also welcome to send an email to (advising@fanshawec.ca) or book an appointment to get more information about programs and career paths. 

• Accommodation

Deciding where to live during the study period can be a challenging task for international students. Fanshawe College provides several accommodation options for students. Finding a welcoming and supportive homestay, applying for traditional/townhouse-style units located in London Campus (for full-time students), or living off-campus, it is up to you! If you would like to live on campus, Fanshawe’s International Office and Accommodation Coordinators are available to support students at all times.

• “Peer to Peer” program

To help international students smoothly adapt to a new environment and successfully settle down, Fanshawe offers a one-on-one matching program called the “Peer to Peer” program. In this program, Canadian students will assist in keeping new international students on the right track. By socialising with peers, new international students are more likely to make new friends, experience a different culture, and gradually improve students’ cross-cultural communication skills.

• International Centre

If you need help with your application, work permits, study visas, bank accounts, or health insurance, International Centre is here to help. Fanshawe College is dedicated to providing services and support to both existing students and future international students. Their recruiters and advisors are from all around the world, including China, Korea, Vietnam, Africa, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, and more. 

• International students’ scholarships

Fanshawe College provides over 5 million dollars in various scholarships, awards, and bursaries each year. Some opportunities are exclusively set for international students.

• International Degree Entrance Award (full-time international students in a bachelor’s degree program)
